LA County DEO Opens Request for Proposals for Community Forestry Management Plan: Parks Tree Planting Project Services
Proposal Due January 21, 2026, by 12:00 PM PT
Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) announced the official release of a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide park tree planting project services as part of the County’s implementation of the Community Forestry Management Plan (CFMP).
The RFP seeks qualified vendors to plant 500 trees across nine County parks, install irrigation systems, and deliver ongoing tree care with horticultural expertise. This effort supports LA County’s broader sustainability and equity goals by bringing green infrastructure to parks in communities most impacted by climate and environmental inequities. The initiative is supported by federal funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service.

- Written Questions Due: December 22, 2025, by 12:00 PM PT
- Anticipated Subaward Term: April 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026, with two optional one-year extensions through September 30, 2028
- Available Funding: Up to $2,204,000
- Eligibility: Proposers must meet the minimum mandatory requirements outlined in Section 4.0 of the RFP
